It reflects the tribal influence of the Taino and Arawak peoples . Here, the cushion becomes a totemic piece, a decorative object imbued with symbolic energy. The initial inspirations—rock art, ritual iconography, tribal designs—are reinvented in a minimalist and contemporary style.
The motifs, inspired by petroglyphs , ritual masks and symbols engraved in stone or carved in raw wood, form a hybrid design. Telluric spirals born from the Andean world, stylized faces of the first island nations, protective fetishes from African traditions: the forms speak to each other, respond to each other, and blend together.
