Snippets of the journey

I define myself as a creator of exquisite universes, freed from standardization. A Stylist & Textile Designer, graduated from Applied Arts at a time when one used a ruling pen, the hybridization of themes and techniques form the foundation of my work: making textile nature and digital plasticity converse, by mixing traditional techniques and digital manipulations to create unique narrative visuals.

Hybridization and creative synergy

My relationship with material is central, because even when digital, texture remains sovereign. I like to work in trompe-l'œil, applying my academic knowledge and years of "traditional" practice to the digital field to create weave patterns, heterogeneous textures, embroidery effects, and curious, improbably woven jacquards.

A playful and audacious synergy, combining the mastery of materials with advanced digital tools, the essential references of Art and Fashion history, and artificial intelligence used as an additional tool serving composition, original graphic research, and visual complexity. Here, AI is neither a stance nor a shortcut: it integrates into a rigorous process, guided by a professional eye, fundamental artistic culture, and advanced knowledge of Textile Design.

Mixed cultural heritage

Originally from the Antilles, more precisely from the small Karukera (Guadeloupe), I infuse into my Caribbean collection a living, totemic and contemporary Indo-Creole heritage.

I advocate for a pluricultural fusion that reinterprets the mix & match: from Africa to Asia, from South America to India, from a Chimeric Bestiary to the astonishing religious iconography revisited. In this curious universe, cultures respond to each other without hierarchy to integrate current interiors in search of meaning, which refuse decorative neutrality, preferring character, narrative, and singularity over seasonal trends.

My approach to more responsible consumption is part of the Print on Demand model: very limited edition prints made to order. Each design is available in 10 copies worldwide, not reissued, ensuring the acquisition of a piece that will not become commonplace.

About MZelle

My artist name pays homage to one of the most fascinating and unique figures of the 20th century, both free and complex: Mata Hari, born Margaretha Zelle.
