Sacred hearts, celestial flames, winged eyes, and protective doves are delicately illustrated against a backdrop of a herbarium inspired by toile de Jouy. EX VOTO celebrates the beauty of intimate gestures, silent faith, and objects steeped in history. In a modern interpretation blending fervor and art, the EX VOTO series draws inspiration from the ancient eponymous object with its intense symbolic charge. Literally "according to the vow made", it is an offering deposited in a sacred place in thanks for a grace received or in the hope of protection.
On a dark background, the symbols are haloed with a baroque mysticism, almost liturgical. The pastel versions, in celadon, sapphire blue, or ecru hues, offer a softer reading, imbued with freshness and intimacy. This textile design diverts liturgical use to create a lifestyle where the Sacred becomes ornament.
Conceived as a collector's item, each cover naturally finds its place in a sensitive and inspired interior, alongside sculptural objects or vintage finds.
