Description

Decorative linen-look cover, 45cm - The TOTEM series is a bridge between the diverse heritages of the Caribbean, the Americas, and African cultures . It reflects the tribal influence of the Taino and Arawak peoples . Here, the cushion becomes a totemic piece, a decorative object imbued with symbolic energy. The original inspirations—rock art, ritual iconography, tribal designs—are reinvented in a minimalist and contemporary style.

The motifs, inspired by petroglyphs , ritual masks and symbols engraved in stone or carved in raw wood, form a hybrid design. Telluric spirals born from the Andean world, stylized faces of the first island nations, protective fetishes from African traditions: the forms speak to each other, respond to each other, and blend together.

TOTEM claims this syncretic, powerful aesthetic, where decoration becomes narrative, trace, living testimony of a shared heritage.

Through its clean lines and striking contrasts, the Graphique collection evokes primal art without ever reproducing it literally. The lines are reinterpreted, becoming vibrant display pieces, ready to integrate into modern interiors while carrying within them the profound spirit of the cultures that inspire them.
