EX VOTO Cushion Cover - Duo According to a Wish Blue - 45 and 55cm

Decorative linen-look cushion cover 45 and 55cm - Between spirituality and a poetic gaze, the EX VOTO series breathes a sacred air into the Cabinet de Curiosité, full of meaning and emotion. Inspired by traditional votive offerings, this line of artistic covers revisits the popular offering. Sacred hearts, celestial flames, winged eyes, and protective doves are delicately illustrated against a backdrop of a herbarium inspired by toile de Jouy. EX VOTO celebrates the beauty of intimate gestures, silent faith, and objects steeped in history. A collection at the crossroads of the sacred and botanical ornamentation offering a refined and mystical aesthetic.

In a modern interpretation blending fervor and art, the EX VOTO series draws inspiration from the ancient eponymous object with its intense symbolic charge. Literally "according to the vow made", it is an offering deposited in a sacred place in thanks for a grace received or in the hope of protection.

On a dark background, the symbols are haloed with a baroque mysticism, almost liturgical. The pastel versions, in celadon, sapphire blue, or ecru hues, offer a softer reading, imbued with freshness and intimacy. This textile design diverts liturgical use to create a lifestyle where the Sacred becomes ornament.

Conceived as a collector's item, each cover naturally finds its place in a sensitive and inspired interior, alongside sculptural objects or vintage finds. Playing mix & match with other prints or textures (plain velvets, graphic rugs, patinated wood, brass, raw ceramics) allows for creating a bold scenography and accentuating the narrative dimension of the collection. The ex-voto, now textile, becomes a silent messenger in the act of faith and hope.
